Garden Greenhouse

A garden greenhouse is one of the best ways to enjoy lush plant life year round. They can be simply temporary structures used for early sprouting or they can permanent structures with electricity and a foundation for growing plants all year long. They offer an excellent place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or read while being surrounded by oxygen producing plant life.

A garden greenhouse can be bought as a kit and assembled at home or it can be a much larger construction project involving the pouring of a foundation, wiring the structure for lights, heaters and ventilation and installing large plates of glass. The stronger and more durable the structure and materials the longer it will last and the safer the plants will be.

Keeping a garden greenhouse clean and free of pests and mold is important for the health of the plants. A miniature ecosystem is created that is much different from the outside air and can easily harbor many different harmful pests and the humidity causes mold to grow at profuse rates. Using sterile potting soil or hydroponics greatly helps as does adding beneficial bugs such as lady bugs to eat pests.
