Small Greenhouses

Small greenhouses can be attached to a house, be freestanding, and even have their own foundation separate from the house. The possibilities are endless and the designs are as unique as they are plentiful. They can be home-made structures that are used in the early spring to start seedlings or they can be pre-manufactured kits that are assembled on site.

Small greenhouses are a great addition for areas that have limited space. A lean to greenhouse only requires three walls and relies on the house for its structural support as well as heating and cooling. It is easy to attach fans and other electric devices due to the proximity to the house. Temporary greenhouses are also very popular and easy to set up.

Small greenhouse can be used to start seedling and bulbs, grow vegetable out of season and keep flowers blooming year round. They are great for the recreational gardener and do not take up a lot of space, time or money. One can be built for less than a hundred dollars and last for a few years.
